Tom was able to get us tickets to the White House this year.
We started off by looking at the National Christmas Tree.(Notice the White House in the background...very cool.)
They had Christmas trees from each state surrounding the National Tree. There were several trains that were going around the tree and little villages set up. We especially enjoyed the yule log. It was super cold and windy. Burrr!!
Our tour was great! We really enjoyed seeing all the decorations they had put up. There was one room that was decorated with only newspapers and magazine pages. They were very clever how they put a Christmas tree together with the newspaper and then sprayed it with gold spray paint.
It was so cold and windy we almost didn't want to stand out in the line to get in! We are so glad we did. It is so fun to walk around and look at the different pictures hanging on the walls and I especially like the different dishes from past presidents they have on display. Some are really fancy and others are more on the plain side.
